Lol, when I heard about the possible double fortification expansion, I laughed.

Battle Report - Space Marines vs Eldar - 3000pts
Here at 40 Warzone, we weren't entirely happy with the way the Battle Report played out in the latest White Dwarf with the Space Marines losing to Chaos (you need to use different armies WD guys). So, we decided to play our own with the two latest armies, Space Marines and Eldar.

Ethereal Snatch, The Campaign Begins!
Siceralc - Over the last few weeks most of us have been playing the meta pretty hard, and we've decided to give it a break and indulge our desire for fluff. What follows is the first of several scenarios we plan on playing over the next few months, and we hope to develop the games as we go along. The suggestion has also been made that we flesh out these scenarios with some narrative fluff, so with no further adieu I give you Part One of the Perdus Rift Campaign, story and battle report.

Battle report: Eldar & Tau Empire Vs CSM & Dark Eldar & Imperial Guard
That picture defines perfectly the thoughts of everyone around the table during this game. It was a great game, epic I would say, full of randomness, crazy moves, lots of luck (good and bad), insane rolls but especially, fun.

Battle Report - Tau and Eldar vs Orks
We know you love hearing about how Ruben and I mess up the rules and have the tactical IQ of lemmings but it's time for this week's battle report - Ruben's Tau and Chris's Eldar vs Chris's Orks.

Battle Report: Eldar vs Space Marines & Tau Empire
A long time has passed since Chris and I had our last game. It was a really good game of Chaos Daemons & Dark Eldar vs Eldar & Orks that I won with an amazing game of Skarbrand wiping out all the Orks in Chris' army. He went on holidays to his homeland for a month and I bought and moved to a new place and had surgery in my mouth, getting all my wisdom teeth removed.
During that time, Eldar, Chris' main army, came out. As he was in UK, he basically bought everything that came out, including Illic, Wraith Knight, 2 flyers... while I started my Tau Empire army with a unit of Fire Warriors. So our first game after he came, was of course Eldar vs Tau, allied with Space Marines, as I don't have many points yet.

Epic Random Battles: Riptide vs WraithKnight
I think this is a good way to discuss our favorite units, creating random made up fights between units. What we want to know is:
- which one do you think is better? Why?
- how would you use it in your army?
- kick ass model? Would you get one?
Our first fight is:
Riptide vs Wraith Knight

For the Emp..or.............ire!

Well I may or may not be attending a 1500 point tournament next week but if I do then I thought it would be best to give Taudar a run. I've been meaning to get this force together for quite some time but due to a) eBay sellers messing around and b) Uni, I haven't.
Anyway, I threw together a list on Quartermaster as a base with Tau before I add in a small Eldar force:

Tau marker lights: Review of options.
Where did I leave my flashlight?
The Tau marker light, we equally
love them and hate them depending on which side we are on. I personally think
that the changes that have occurred are a move in the right direction by GW.
Being able to ignore cover with only two lights is a massive advantage for
players using the Riptide or plasma-suits (or any other low AP weapon for that
matter). Furthermore, being able to increase Snap-shots means we have a
some-what possible option for broadsides becoming mobile (this will be
discussed in another thread).
Up until the Tau were updated,
the rumour threads were full of people endlessly complaining that Tau should
not be BS3. I don't know who these people are but I would not want them writing
any of my army books. It is relatively simple to gain a bonus to your BS, but
where you get these lights will change how you play. Let us look at the
options:
