Upcoming battle report - Orks vs Nids

As our regular readers may know, Ruby and I are big fans of testing out the latest stuff released from GW. While we may not be the quickest on the uptake, we like to think that we're more balanced in our approach.

To this end, we have scheduled a 2k point battle: Orks vs new Nids.

"But there are no new Orks, that's not fair on you, and the new Nids are so OP!" I hear you cry but fear not, while Ruby will be taking the bulk of his new Tyranid force (assuming he builds them in time), I will be fielding an Ork Stompa to even the field.

We will have a full battle report for you soon. Let the stomping commence!

So we just had a picture of what is forecasted to be the "new warriors." Got me thinking. Remember what came out of 4chan a few months back? Seems the guy was right. What does that mean?

Rumour Watch: "No Nids for Christmas"

Even though a lot of sources are stating that Nids are coming In December, we are still getting the odd spanner in the works. Hence the following:

Two Month Tyranid Release?

Tyranid rumours have dried up recently. The leak of the Hive Guard box has ignited a storm of speculation surrounding December's release. What could it be? Rumours are pointing towards Tyranids and/or the expansion boxed sets. A Hobbit release could just as easily be on the tables still, the new movie is due out and GW does have licensing requirements to fill. Who knows.

So. Some rumours dropping via 40k Radio's podcast cast. A few things:

Via 40k Radio podcast. "Rasputin"

1. Dark Elves are in October.

2. Tyranids are beginning of 2014.

3. No mystery box.

4. Battle forces are planned to be phased out and replaced by a number of new "army" boxes. Themed boxes such as Eldar "Spirit host" or Space Marine "Strike force."
