40k Warzone Presents: The Star Wars: Armada Battle of Endor Scenario

So even though Wave 1 hasn't been released yet, and Wave 2 is still some time away, Crazy and I have been assembling an Endor scenario for when we inevitably have more Armada than sense.

X-Wing: Wave VI Locked and Loaded!

So, Wave 6 for X-Wing has finally arrived and it is quite the game changer!

While Scum and Villainy ships themselves haven't been making any top tables, an upgrade card or two have had an absolutely massive impact on the way players craft their squads.

Codex: Crimson Slaughter

G'day everyone!

So the supplement Codex: Crimson Slaughter has been released, and there are actually quite a number of interesting rules/wargear that have come with it. So let's have a look at a few of the differences, shall we?

Getting the most out of the new "escape hatch."

Stronghold assault seems to be the one expansion that isn't getting as much flak as Formations or Escalation. It isn't game breaking, but has some particularly hilarious options for you to use in your army. Today, I want to talk about the Escape Hatch upgrade available to buildings.

The Zombie Apocalypse

As some of you have read in recent posts, Crazy424 likes his meta-lists. The most recent of these takes the form of a couple of HQ choices and lots of Zombies with some Chaos Spawn thrown in for good measure. I'm always up for disproving meta-lists so we arranged a 1500pt, three player 'Battle Royale', Ruby playing his beloved Space Marines, Crazy424 playing a version of the Zombie list (with 100+ Zombies) and me playing mostly Orks (with a Wraithknight thrown in just because Ruby hates it).

Cauldron of lols... I mean Blood

Our schedule here at 40k Warzone has been pretty flat out in the last few weeks. However between breaking LOTR and planning the zombie apocalypse, I've managed to get some testing done with the new Dark Elves, and here's the results!

Six Pyschopaths

This is the nickname for one of the units I almost always use in my main Eldar army. It is comprised of the following:

Vanguard Veterans Squad. Worth it?

New Space Marines Codex was released, and there are heaps and heaps of options. As soon as they came out, I couldn't help myself to get the new Centurions, Sternguards and Vanguard Veterans as I thought the models were pretty awesome (yeah, even Centurions, afters seeing them in GW, I realized they were cooler than what I thought).

Ethereal Snatch, The Campaign Begins!

Siceralc - Over the last few weeks most of us have been playing the meta pretty hard, and we've decided to give it a break and indulge our desire for fluff. What follows is the first of several scenarios we plan on playing over the next few months, and we hope to develop the games as we go along. The suggestion has also been made that we flesh out these scenarios with some narrative fluff, so with no further adieu I give you Part One of the Perdus Rift Campaign, story and battle report.

A Tau Detachment for Your Everyday Needs

As a Space Marine turned Dark Angels player (and most likely a once more converted-to Space Marines Player) there were often things that I had trouble with come 6th edition.

The Eldar Hornet.

The state of Imperial Armour at the moment is somewhat confusing. A handful of tournaments in my area allow the rules to be used but, overall, it isn't as widespread as many would like. We had some very interesting comments recently depicting that all FW units should be taken into considering when deciding on what to use in an army. While this may be true in some other countries, I don't believe it to be so in our local circle. However, I wish it was because Corsairs are pretty awesome!

Bring out the Hornet!
