So, we all know Codex: Inquisition dropped on us a few days ago. What I am wondering is the possibility of a Deathwatch "codex." GW can make a codex out of anything really. It could work. HQ + Squad that can be allied in as a "Deathwatch detachment." Not sure how chapter traits would work in this case, maybe DW teams would have their own? Infiltrate/Scout/Stealth etc.
What do people think?
Hey man, not entirely familiar with the marines dex, but doesn't Raven Guard confer deathwatch-esq covert ops?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in what people have to say about this because I'm wanting a similar idea.
I'd probably go about allying with Eldar or Tau mercs as well.
I think that they would have their own chapter tactics, perhaps Preferred Enemy (Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Orks, Tyranids, and Necrons), and maybe some other rule that changed affect depending on the enemy xenos? Just spitballing the second, I would be surprised if they didn't have prefered enemy (xenos).
ReplyDeleteWhile they will likely have HQs(Librarians, maybe Watch Captains?) so they can be in theory fielded as a primary detachment, GW could also go the Inquisition detachment route and only have an Elite/troop choice, the Deathwatch kill-team which would be used as a special kill-team detachment.
