Life without Quartermaster.

What the hell did we do before an army building app? Oh wait, I remember......write lists by hand....

I was talking with Spicerack the other day, and we got onto the subject of Quartermaster Templates. He and I use it exclusively to build our lists. For those that haven't heard of it, it is the "Apple list builder." Built for Ipad and Iphones, it is quite possibly the EASIEST and GREATEST app for our hobby.

You can download it from the appstore.

Now getting back on track. I got this app a while back, and I don't think I have EVER written a list on paper since. In fact, when Tau, Eldar and Guard got their updates, it was crippling to not have the app updates. Of course a week later we had them, but it sucked to have to write lists again.

It is perfect for tournaments gamers, or if you want to throw together a quick game list at the store. No need to sit down for 15 minutes with a calculator, just BAM!

Honestly, everyone with access to an Ipad/Iphone should get this, it has all of the major army books and a reasonably supply of the smaller releases. It also allows you to built your own template relatively easily, so if you're into that, then go for it. Just remember to share it with the rest of the community once it has been completed.

  1. Just to put it out there:

Battlescribe is also very good for this, is free and army lists are updated (normally) are updated within a couple of days. Having used both I much prefer Battlescribe.

  2. Awesome app man! Thanx for sharing! I downloaded it yesterday, and it took me a while to catch it (English isn't my first language), but I already made my Astra Militarum army list. I only have to find out now how to print it for my opponent to see it, appart from my ipad.
    Cheers!
